NEET PG/MDS 2019 counselling to begin on March 15; know all essential details here

NEW DELHI, March 14: On behalf of Medical Counselling Committee, the Directorate General of Health Services will begin the counselling process of 50 % All India Quota seats on March 15. The authority will begin the process by opening the registration portal to participate in the counselling for various MD/MS and postgraduate diploma courses. A centralised counselling process will be conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats, Central and Deemed Universities, AFMS Institutions and ESIC. The counselling is done based upon the merit rank secured by an aspirant in the NEET PG and MDS entrance exam. The counselling for 50% All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds while the counselling for Central & Deemed Universities will be conducted in three rounds. The merit list for the same has been released on March 6.

Mop-up round
As per the official notice, a mop-up round will be conducted for central/ deemed university and ESIC only. For the number of vacancies, ten times the registered candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process. Like every round, registration for the mop-up round will also be done separately. Candidates can check the dates for the mop-up round in the table below.

Registration Fee and Forfeiture
MCI has brought about changes in the NEET PG counselling procedure that mandates the eligibility of candidates after the conclusion of each round counselling. The fee forfeiture rule will also be applicable in accordance with the mandate. Every candidate has to submit a refundable and non-refundable fee while registering for the counselling process. If a seat has not been allocated to a candidate in the first round, the fee will be refunded. Candidates can check the registration fee in the table below.
