NEW DELHI: To help Kashmiri candidates register for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the Srinagar administration has set up 11 more facilitation centres at various colleges. Kashmiri candidates for NEET can now submit their forms online as well as offline. Nine more nodal centres have been set up by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on December 15, 2019, in Kashmir and Leh. This step was taken keeping in mind the current internet lockdown in Kashmir. In addition to helping candidates register for NEET, the centres will help the educational institutions hosting them as well. A total of 470 computers have been installed at these centres.

Review and feedback

The candidates who use these centres can even leave feedback. According to the Press Trust of India, a register will be provided to the users at each centre to share their experiences. This is meant to help officials improve services where required. The officials also assured PTI that every centre is equipped for the submission process, and that students will not face any trouble with getting one-time passwords for verification and paying the fee online. In order to provide technical assistance to candidates, officials from the National Informatics Centre will also be present at each centre.

Earlier, on December 10, 2019, a separate offline application form has been released by NTA for Kashmiri NEET's candidates. This step was taken after several requests made by candidates from the valley.
