NEW DELHI: The wait for medical aspirants is finally over. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2021 will commence from January 19. After Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the NEET UG Counselling 2021 dates, the Medical Counselling Committee released the complete NEET UG Counselling schedule on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

Aspirants had been demanding clarity on NEET UG 2021 after the Supreme Court allowed the resumption of NEET PG Counselling 2021. However, after a long delay, the MCC has now released the NEET UG Counselling schedule. Candidates can check the NEET UG Counselling latest updates, counselling process, fees and reservation policy in All India Quota (AIQ) seats here.

NEET UG 2021 Counselling Process

  • MCC NEET UG Counselling 2021 registration will begin at mcc.nic.in
  • Choice filling and locking facility will be made available for NEET 2021 counselling
  • Seat allotment for round 1 will be done after the choice filling window is closed
  • Reporting at the allotted medical/ dental college (free entry/exit option available)
  • Publication of vacant seats for round 2
  • Registration (not required for already registered candidates) and fresh choice filling for NEET counselling round 2
  • Seat allotment round 2 (exit with forfeiture of security amount option available)
  • Reporting at the Medical / Dental Colleges /Institutions against round 2 (candidates once joined the allotted seat are not allowed to vacate the seat).
  • This year, NEET UG Counselling 2021 will be conducted in four rounds. AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up round, and AIQ stray vacancy round. There will be no fresh registration for stray rounds.

NEET UG Counselling Fee

Eligible candidates must register at mcc.nic.in NEET UG Counselling 2021. They will have to enter their NEET roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth. In the next step, candidates have to pay the NEET counselling and security fee in online mode.

NEET UG 2021: Reservation policy

The Supreme Court on January 7 allowed resumption of the NEET counselling process with the existing reservation policy. NEET UG 2021 counselling will be conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and AH and BSc Nursing courses under 15% All India Quota.

  • ST - 7.5%
  • PwD- Horizontal Reservation as per NMC norms -5%
  • OBC - (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list -27%
  • EWS - as per Central Government norms - 10%
