NID MDes Mains result 2023 declared at admissions.nid.edu; tie-breaking criteria

NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Design (NID) has declared the Master of Design (MDes) Mains result 2023 today, May 18, 2023. Candidates that appeared for the exam from March 20 to April 23, 2023 will be able to check their results on the official website- admissions.nid.edu.

To qualify the exam, open and general-EWS category candidates should score 50% while OBC candidates who have secured 45% and SC, ST students with 40% will be declared qualified. NID MDes Mains result carries 70% of the weightage of final results. As per the marking scheme, studio test will be given 40% weightage and interview round will be given 30% weightage.

• Visit the official website
• Click on the ‘NID DAT MDes 2023 result’ link
• Enter the login credentials such as email address and date of birth.
• Download the result and take the printout of the same

NID DAT 2023 Result: Tie-breaking criteria

Candidates can check the NID DAT MDes tie-breaking criteria here. This will be used in the case where the two students secure the same marks in the final result.

• As per the official tie breaking criteria, a higher rank is assigned to the candidates who scored higher marks in the DAT mains exam.
• If the tie remains, a higher rank will be given to the candidate who scores more marks in stage- 1 design aptitude test section.
• Further, a higher rank will be given to the candidates who scores more marks in stage - 1 design aptitude test section part-B
• In case tie still does not break, a higher rank will be awarded to the candidates who score more marks in stage - 1 design aptitude test section part-A
• If the tie still remains, a higher rank will be credited to the candidates who got more marks in the question of the DAT mains exam which carries maximum marks.

Students will be allotted seats based on the merit list and the choice they submit during the registration for NID DAT MDes counselling 2023. A total of 275 seats will be allotted to the qualified candidates.
