NEW DELHI: National Institute of Open Schooling has released a notification regarding the NIOS On-Demand exam date. As per the notification, students who wish to improve their average marks awarded in March-April 2020 can also appear for this NIOS On-Demand Examination 2020. This exam is optional for them and will be organized for the theory part only.

Students can choose NIOS On Demand exam dates 2020 as per their convenience among the given dates. The exams will commence from October 5, 2020. Students who are not satisfied with average marks and interested in improving their marks can book a seat for their On-Demand Examination. They can apply for the same through the student dashboard on sdmis.nioc.ac.in from September 25, 2020.

The notification also says, “It is further to bring to your notice that those learners who were registered to appear in the public examination for improvement or Stream-2 cases declared as Not computable cases in March /April 2020 Public Examination are exempted from paying the examination fee for booking seat in the said On-Demand Examination. However, all others will have to pay the requisite fee online through their dashboard. No enquiries in this regard will be entertained.”

What if I score less marks in the On-Demand Exam?
If any student appears for the On-Demand exam to improve his/her marks and scores less or more marks in the exam as compared to the average computed marks, then, the marks obtained by students in On-Demand Exam will be treated as final marks and their average marks will be these marks.

Where will the NIOS On Demand Exam (ODEs) 2020 be held?
NIOS ODEs 2020 will be held at the examination centre of the regional centre which is selected by a student while booking a seat for the examination.

Can I appear for ODEs for practical marks improvement?
No, the ODEs will not be conducted to improve marks of practical examination. It will be held for theory part marks improvement only.
