NLSAT 2024 on March 17; registration begins at admissions.nls.ac.in

NLSAT 2024 registration last date is February 24. The exam will be held for admission to 3-year LLB Hons, MPP, and PhD programmes.

NEW DELHI: The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru has announced the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) 2024 will be conducted on March 17 for admission to 3-year LLB (Honors), Masters in Public Policy, and PhD programmes. NLSAT 2024 application form is available on the official website, admissions.nls.ac.in. Eligible candidates can apply by February 24.

The entrance exam for all three programmes will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 pm at examination centres across the country. The registration fee for candidates belonging to the general category applying for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is Rs 2,500. SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD candidates will be required to pay Rs 2,000. In case of PhD registration, applicants will have to make the payment of Rs 3,000.

NLSAT 2024 eligibility criteria

LLB

  • Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized national or international university having at least 45 percent aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). Students in the final year of their graduation can also apply.

MPP

  • Applicants must have graduated in any discipline with an aggregate marks of at least 45% (40% for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PWD) from a recognized national or international university.

PhD

  • For PhD Law, candidates having a bachelor’s degree in law through regular mode from a recognized university having 75% aggregate marks (70% for reserved category) can apply. Those having LLM degree with 55% marks (50% for SC, ST, OBC, PwD) or having passed solicitor exam conducted by the Bombay Incorporated Law Society are also eligible. Moreover, applicants having an MBL degree from NLSIU with a minimum CGPA of 4 can apply.
  • For PhD Interdisciplinary, students having a master’s degree with 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved category) and bachelor’s degree from a recognized university can apply. Those who have passed the company secretary exam or chartered accountant exam and been awarded with the institute membership along with a LLB (Hons) degree are also eligible.

NLSAT-LLB 2024 exam will be conducted for a duration of 150 minutes and the question paper will contain two parts. While Part A will comprise multiple choice questions carrying one mark each. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Those who qualify Part A will appear for Part B which will consist of subjective questions for 75 marks.
