NLSAT 2024 registration ends tomorrow; 3-year LLB, MPP, PhD application fees, weightage

NEW DELHI: National Law School of Indian University Bengaluru (NLSIU Bengaluru) will close the registration process for National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT 2024) for 3-year LLB, 2-year MA Public Policy, PhD programmes for the academic year 2024-25. The NLSAT application form link has been hosted on the official website, admissions.nls.ac.in.

The university will conduct the NLSAT exam 2024 on March 17 from 10 am to 12.30 pm in centres across the country. It said that the academic session for 3-year LLB will commence from July 1.

The NLSAT application fee for LLB and MPP courses is Rs 2,500, however, those belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, EWS categories will have to pay Rs 2,000 only. Whereas, candidates applying for the PhD courses in law and interdisciplinary will have to deposit Rs 3,000 as registration fee.

The final admission list based on the NLSAT 2024 score will be published in May, the NLSIU said.

For the PhD entrance test, candidates will be given 150 minutes to attempt a 100 marks question paper. Research aptitude and essay writing on relevant topics on law and other disciplines will carry 50 marks each.

Those securing 50% and above in aggregate in the written test will be eligible for evaluation of their research proposal and making an oral presentation before a panel of experts on the date allotted by the NLSIU.

The university offers a total of 8 PhD seats, including 4 in PhD Law and 4 in PhD Interdisciplinary. The NLSAT-PhD, the research proposal, and the oral presentation carry different weightage for the final selection.
