The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has announced the schedule for the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIM) Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) 2026 exam. The NMAT 2026 registration process will commence on August 20 and continue till October 10, 2026, while the entrance exam will be conducted from November 2 to December 20, 2026.

NMAT 2026 important dates

According to the schedule, candidates can book their preferred NMAT exam 2026 slot from August 20 to October 22. The exam rescheduling facility will remain available till December 17, and candidates planning to retake the exam can register and schedule their retest between November 3 and December 17.

GMAC has advised candidates to schedule their examination as early as possible, as test slots will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking the exam early will increase the chances of getting the preferred NMAT test date, time and test centre.

The council also clarified that registering for the NMAT by GMAC exam is only one part of the MBA admission process. Candidates will have to apply separately to the business schools of their choice, as each institute has its own admission criteria, application deadlines and NMAT score acceptance policy.

NMAT registration fees 2026

The NMAT 2026 registration fee is Rs 3,000 plus applicable taxes. Candidates opting for a retake will have to pay the same amount, while the rescheduling fee is Rs 1,200 plus applicable taxes. Applicants seeking to send additional score reports beyond the first five will have to pay Rs 400 per report plus applicable taxes.

Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline and book their exam slot early. They should also remember to submit separate applications to the MBA colleges they wish to join, as NMAT 2026 registration alone does not constitute an application for admission.
