NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has allowed the renewal of permission for all medical colleges on the basis of sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-23 as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Undergraduate (NEET UG 2022) counselling is going to start in September or October 2022.

The latest notice by the NMC stated, “As the counselling for NEET UG 2022 is going to start in the month of September/ October 2022, there are colleges where we are waiting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th renewals, all of them, it has been decided to give/ allow the renewal of permission on the basis on sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-23.”

“However, random surprise inspection may be carried out on the basis of the track record of the medical colleges for the academic year 2022-23 and on the basis of the inspection reports decision will be taken,” it further informed medical colleges.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will today declare the NEET UG Result 2022 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Over 16 lakh aspirants are awaiting NTA NEET result 2022, final answer key and scorecard. After the NEET results 2022 are announced, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET UG 2022 Counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

In other news, the NMC has allowed Indian medical students who had returned from war-torn Ukraine to relocate to universities in other countries and complete their studies.
