September 3, New Delhi: National Testing Agency has announced new changes in the exam pattern for JEE Main January 2020. According to a notification to be released by NTA, there are various changes proposed by the Joint Apex Board (JAB) and subject experts in the exam pattern of JEE Main 2020. The questions for the exam next year will see numerical questions in addition to the multiple-choice questions as per this notification. B.Plan students will have to answer 25 questions on planning instead of appearing for the drawing exam unlike last year.

NTA has not mentioned the marking scheme for these changes in the exam pattern. While the JEE Main website or NTA have not yet released this notification on their websites, it is available otherwise on the net. There have been changes in the number of questions which now have reduced to 25 per subject in paper 1 unlike past years when students had to answer 30 question from each subject. The notification mentions that there will be separate notification for the April exam again.

NTA has also announced the JEE Main Syllabus 2020 along with a detailed pdf specifying the application and registration process for the exam. Candidates can check these on the NTA website.
Applications for JEE Main 2020 January the largest entrance exam for undergraduate engineering admissions start on September 3 with the exam being held from January 6 to 11.
