NEW DELHI, AUGUST 22: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released UGC NET 2019 December and June 2020 important dates. Candidates who wish to appear for UGC NET 2019 & 2020 can check dates related to online registration, admit card, exam dates and declaration of result dates below.

The online application of UGC NET December 2019 will begin from September 9. The last day to apply for UGC NET 2019 December session will be October 9. Candidates who will fill the application successfully will be issued admit card for the exam on November 9, 2019. UGC NET December 2019 exam will be held between December 2 to 6, 2019 across the country. The result of the December session will be announced on December 31, 2019.
According to the notice issued by NTA, UGC NET June 2020 application form can be filled between March 16 to April 16, 2019. Candidates will be able to download the admit card for June session from May 15, 2020. The online exam of UGC NET 2020 for June session will be held from June 15 to 20, 2019. Candidates who will appear for UGC NET June 2020 will be able to check their result on July 5, 2019.
Candidates who wish to fill the application form must hold a master degree with at least 55% marks (50% in case of reserved category) as per the eligibility criteria. The application form will be available online on the official website of NTA at www.nta.ac.in on the prescribed dates.
UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as Assistant Professors and for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of two papers - Paper I & II. The question asked in both the papers will be objective in nature. Paper I of UGC NET will be common for all the candidates whereas the questions asked in paper II will be from the subject opted by the candidates.
