NTA announces NIFTEE 2026 stage 2 exam dates for MDes, MFTech admissions

Download EBookThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced dates for NIFTEE 2026 stage 2 for admission to postgraduate (PG) programmes. The testing agency will conduct the personal interview round for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) from April 6 to 11 at New Delhi.

The testing agency shortlisted candidates for the NIFTEE 2026 stage 2 on the basis of performance in the written test and in accordance with the approved category-wise seat matrix, shortlisting criteria.
Candidates have been shortlisted for the MDes, MFM, and MFTech programmes through NIFTEE 2026 stage 1 in the ratio of 1:4 (one seat to four candidates), category-wise, subject to applicable conditions for PwD candidates, according to an official notification.

NIFTEE 2026 stage 2 UG, PG admissions
NTA conducted the NIFTEE 2026 stage 1 exams for admission to UG, and PG programmes for the academic year 2026-27 on February 8 at 129 centres across 97 cities in India.
It declared the results for the computer-based NIFTEE 2026 written test on March 20.
“For Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), a Situation Test will be conducted in designated cities across Bharat to assess the candidate's ability in model construction, material handling, creativity, and innovation,” NTA said.
While for BDes (NLEA) candidates, a studio test and personal interview will be held on the same day, it added.
Those under the BDes (Artisans) category, the Artisan Skill Test and Personal Interview will be conducted on the same day at the designated test centres, the testing agency said.
“For B.F.Tech. (NLEA) candidates, a Technical Ability Test (TAT) in paper-based (OMR) format along with Personal Interview will be conducted on the same day as per schedule,” it added.
NIFTEE 2026 stage 2 exams for UG programmes will be held in approximately 20 cities across the country.
