NVS Admission 2024: Class 9, 11 lateral entry registration ends tomorrow at navodaya.gov.in
Applicants will be able to access the online correction window on November 16 and 17 at navodaya.gov.in.

NEW DELHI: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will close the registration window for the Class 9 and 11 lateral entry admission of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) tomorrow i.e. November 15. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for registration on the official website, navodaya.gov.in.
The NVS said the online correction window will remain open between November 16 and 17. Candidates will only be able to change gender, category, area and disability.
As per the NVS notification, the exam for lateral entry to Class 9 and 11 of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will be conducted on February 10, 2024. Students appearing for JNV Class 11 lateral entry exam should have passed Class 10 exam from a school affiliated to CBSE or a state board, or other recognised board. Students applying for Class 9 should be bona fide residents and be currently enrolled in Class 8 at one of the government or government-recognized schools in the district where a JNV is located.
JNV fee
Selected students will be provided free education, including boarding and lodging, uniform and textbooks. However, a sum of Rs 600 per month is collected from students of Classes 9 to 12 towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi. Students belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, female students and those whose families are below poverty line (BPL) are exempted from this monthly charge.

NVS Admission 2024: How to apply
- Visit the official website, navodaya.gov.in
- Click on the ‘JNV Class 9 or 11 admission 2024’ link
- Click on the registration option and register by entering the required information
- Log in using the credentials generated during registration and fill the application form
- Upload the required documents and submit
- Save and take the printout of the application form for future reference.
