The Odisha Police SI exam, scheduled for October 5 and 6, has been deferred for the third time.
"In view of some unforeseen development, the board decided to postpone the written examination CPSE-2024, which was earlier scheduled to be held on October 5, 2025 and October 6, 2025. Fresh date will be announced later," the board said in an official notification.
Warning candidates against bribery in the recruitment process, OPRB reportedly said that it is a criminal offence and strict action will be taken against those involved in any malpractice. The board has launched a helpline number where the candidates can report suspicious activities. Moreover, the board reportedly informed that it is investigating the information regarding malpractice ahead of the exam.

OPRB exam irregularities
While the OPRB has not specified the reason behind the Odisha Police exam postponements, the decision was taken after irregularities were detected, as per various media reports.
Reportedly, the board acted upon the Berhampur police operation wherein around 150 candidates were being taken in buses to a coaching centre in Hyderabad for the preparation of SI recruitment exam. The police discovered a large-scale bribery allegedly happening at the centre, with aspirants depositing money in exchange for being helped to qualify the exam, the reports said.
