NEW DELHI: Parul University hosted the annual technical exhibition, TechExpo 2024, on its campus. The event provided students with hands-on training experience in the field of technology. TechExpo 2024 brought together final-year students from diverse fields, including Ḥengineering, applied sciences, computer applications, and agriculture, to showcase their technical projects and expertise.

As per the institute, the events provide the students a way to not only showcase their innovations but also exchange knowledge, ideas and innovations with other key participants.

Along with TechExpo 2024, the university also hosted 19th edition of Projections 2024, Gujarat's largest technical festival, themed "Cosmos." Over 12,000 participants from 15 states across India and different universities nationwide attended this event.

The institute said that the technical festival aims to foster the crossover and fusion of technology and the cosmos and became a voyage into the future showcasing the endless possibilities of innovation and experiment.

The Projections 2024 comprised more than 50 technical and non-technical events, over 20 workshops and lectures from industry professionals, and prize money worth 7 lakhs. The event focused on advancements in various fields such as robotics, aeronautics, the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), blockchain, and coding.

Through events like flying buzz, human chess, holmes 2.0, code crackerz, mechamaze, aqua missile 2.0, trade tycoon, FIFA horizon, and frame focus, Projections seeks to extend the limits of technological frontiers and innovation, the institute said.

Parul University TechExpo 2024: Highlighted projects

This year's TechExpo highlighted projects with a focus on sustainability and solving real-world problems.

Some of the projects displayed during the event include autonomous electric tractors, Internet of Things (IoT) integrated Autonomous Electric Tractors (AET), wireless power transmission for electric vehicles (EVs), high-altitude research rocket, solar facial panel with dust-proof coating.

The exhibition also featured vision wallet, a project designed to bridge gaps for the visually impaired in identifying Indian paper currency. Additionally, a project focusing on developing a Deep Fake Detection System (DFDS) to combat the proliferation of deceptive media, the official press release read.

Speaking at the event, President of Parul University, Devanshu Patel said, “I am immensely proud of the way our students have embraced challenges, embraced innovation, and created an event that will be remembered for its excellence. It has not only enriched the academic community but has also offered a platform for personal and professional growth.”
