New Delhi, September 7 :
Yes! You hear that right, at least the NTA notification for JEE Main 2020 says it this way. National Testing Agency (NTA), in its official information brochure dated September 3 released the detailed eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE Main 2020 and for admission in its participating institutes.
The eligibility criteria mandated by NTA for appearing in JEE Main do not have any set rules for subject combination which students need to have in class 12. Apart from this, the criteria for admission in B.Planning course in any participating institutes is to have Mathematics in Class 12 but do not say anything about subject combination along with Mathematics. It means if any student has done his/her intermediate with any subject and Mathematics, be it from Commerce or Humanities, they are eligible for admission in SPAs, NITs, or CFTIs offering B.Plan course.
This move of NTA is a big opportunity for students from non-science background to appear in JEE Main and take admission in prestigious institutes like School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) and NITs.
The paper for B.Plan course will consist of three sections; Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning Questions. It will be held as Computer Based Test in online mode.
