NEW DELHI: After the release of admit cards for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET), medical graduates are worried over the travel restrictions across India. With the rise in COVID-19 cases, lockdown has been imposed in major cities of India. Doctors took to Twitter requesting All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, to postpone INI CET 2021 using hashtags campaigns like #postponeINICET or #PostponeINICETSSaveDoctors.

AIIMS, New Delhi has released INI CET admit card 2021 on June 9 at aiimsexams.ac.in. The registered candidates can download INI CET 2021 admit cards by logging in to the website. INI CET will be conducted on June 16, 2021.

Doctors worried over ‘travel restrictions’

An instruction on the INI CET hall ticket reads, “PREPARE EARLY AND REACH EARLY, AIIMS New Delhi is not responsible for travel restrictions, if any.” Medical graduates appearing for INI CET have expressed their concern and criticised the statement by AIIMS through Twitter.

A surgeon tweeted, “This statement is like rubbing salt on raw wounds.”

Another Twitter user said, “There is lockdown in Kerala till 16th and in many South States. Please look into our issue.”

A user tweets, “We used to thank AIIMS as high regards towards students!! But after this issue.. they're truly adamant and irresponsible towards the budding doctors! Many people have got far from the exam centres! #PostponeINICETSSaveDoctors.”

With travel restrictions and curfew, how can a candidate reach the exam centre, an aspirant expressed his concern.

“Aiims just want to conduct an INICET exam, and don't want to know about the spread, restrictions, travel difficulties or anything,” tweets a doctor appearing for the exam.
