NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 26: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is planning to reduce candidates’ effort and time in filling OMR answer sheets during class 10 and 12 examinations. As per reports, Anand Kishor, Chairman of BSEB said that candidates appearing for class 10 and 12 board would be required to only fill three fields, namely, question set number, medium of examination and candidate’s signature. All the other fields including candidate’s name, roll number, year of examination, registration number, and subject code will be already mentioned on the answer sheet. This would help students to avoid mistakes while filling such details as well as give them more time with the questions. Kishor also said that this would especially help rural students, who make the most number of mistakes while filling the OMR sheet.
Bihar would be the first state to implement this system starting from the practical exams expected to be held in January 2019 which would be followed for all the exams in the next academic session.
BSEB will be releasing the admit card for class 10 and 12 board exams on November 28 on its official website- www.biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. The board exams will be conducted from February 21 to 28 for class 10 students and from February 6 to 16 for class 12 students. More than 16 lakhs student are expected to appear for the class 10 board exams while around 13 lakhs will sit for the class 12 board exams.
