RRB ALP 1st stage result nullified due to faulty answer keys; 2nd stage exam shifted

New Delhi, November 12: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have cancelled the result of RRB ALP 2018 for the first stage announced on November 2, due to the faulty answer keys. This information has been released by the RRB officials through a notification. The authorities are in the process of analysing the complaints submitted by the candidates against incorrect answers and questions. Thus, it must be noted that after the process of scrutinising the answer keys, the revised result for the 1^st stage exam will be announced again. Now, the first stage exam result declared on November 2 will not be considered valid.

The official notice reads, “On scrutiny of the answer key made available on the candidate log in, candidates have made representations about discrepancies in the answers of certain questions. On analysing the representations, Prima facie there appear to be errors in the answer key of few questions. Considering the few inadvertent errors, RRBs are in the process of completely reviewing the answers of all the questions and accordingly the revised answer key along with the revised score including the details of score worksheet will be published on the candidate login for information. Accordingly, the revised list of shortlisted candidates will also be published on the websites for the information of all the candidates.

With the first stage RRB ALP result 2018 being negated now, the second stage computer-based test dates have also been revised. According to the new dates, RRB Alp 2018 second stage examination will now be held from December 24 onwards.

Earlier, after the RRB ALP 2018 result announcement on November 2, Careers360 had reported that Railways have failed to shortlist over 3.7 lakh candidates for second stage examination wherein 5,88,604 candidates have been shortlisted from all 21 RRBs. However, officially, around 9,65,565 candidates were to be shortlisted for taking the stateg 2 exam. This means that nearly 39 percent less candidates, than the actually required number were qualified.
