SET 2019 Exam Begins in Offline Mode; Check Details Here

NEW DELHI, MARCH 3: The exam of SET 2019 has begun in offline mode. The exam is being held at various centres in 9 cities across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, and Mizoram. The exam is being held for three papers - paper I, and II in order to determine the eligibility of candidates as Assistant Lecturers at institutes/colleges/universities in the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Tripura.

Only those candidates have been allowed to enter the examination hall who have brought their admit card along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Passport, Driving license, Employee ID card.

SET exam 2019 is being held for two papers - paper I and II in offline mode for which candidates have been given a total of three hours. For paper I and II, candidates have been given 1 hour 15 minutes each wherein they need to answer 50 questions containing 2 marks each while for paper II, candidates have been given 2 hours wherein 100 questions have to be answered containing 2 marks each. No marks are being deducted for the wrong responses given by the candidates.

Through paper I, candidates are being tested on their reasoning ability, divergent thinking, general awareness and command over comprehension while Paper II is to test candidates knowledge on the subject opted by them.

SET exam is a combined eligibility examination, conducted for 25 subjects for the 7 northeastern states. Candidates who score at least 40% aggregate marks (general) and 35% marks (for reserved category) in the test will be considered SET qualified.
