SRMJEEE 2020 dates announced, check new changes in exam pattern and test Cities

New Delhi, October 12: SRM Institute of Science and Technology has announced the dates of SRMJEEE 2020 through the official website. The entrance test will be conducted from April 12 to 20, 2020. The application process for SRMJEEE 2020 will tentatively commence on or after October 15, 2020. Candidates will be able to apply for the exam in both online and offline mode. The last date for SRMJEEE application submission in offline mode is February 29, 2020 while the candidates will be able to apply for the exam online till March 30, 2020. This year the authorities have also made changes in the exam pattern of the exam adding two new subjects - English and Aptitude.

What’s New in SRMJEE 2020?

Exam Pattern changed

SRM institute has introduced many changes in the exam pattern this year by increasing the number of questions and adding two new sections. Earlier the exam had 105 questions which has been now been increased to 125 questions. Previously, the exam had three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, now two new sections have been added to the exam - English and Aptitude. The authorities have also increased the number of questions in the Mathematics section. There will be 40 questions in the Mathematics section now which were earlier 35. Other than these changes, marking scheme has also been changed, now candidates will be awarded 1 mark instead of 3 for each correct answer.

Exam Centres Increased

SRM institute has also increased the number of exam centres for SRMJEEE 2020 to 132 which were 123 last year.

How to fill SRMJEEE Application Form 2020?

Online Mode

• Candidates have to first register online to fill the application form of SRMJEEE 2020.

• Registration can be done by entering basic details like name, Email Id, mobile number, password, etc.

• On successful registration, an email will be sent to the registered number of the candidates.

• Next, the candidates will have to login to their account and fill all the other required information like personal, communication and educational details.

• Once the application form is completely filled, candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 1100 in online mode.

• In the last step, candidates will have to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the specifications prescribed by the authorities.

Offline Mode

Candidates can also submit the application form of SRMJEEE in offline mode. OMR application forms will be available at the designated post offices on the payment of application fee of Rs 1160. The authorities have also released a list of post offices where the physical application form will be available. Candidates will have to duly fill the OMR aplication form and submit to the university before the last date.

SRMJEEE is a computer-based entrance exam conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology for admission to B.Tech courses offered by the institute.
