New Delhi, October 23: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification and the online application form for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam on October 22, 2019, on its official website. According to the official notification, candidates can fill the online application of SSC CGL from October 22 to November 25. SSC has also released the exam dates of Tier-I examination, along with the official notification. The Tier-I exam will be conducted from March 02 to 11, 2020, across major cities in India. The Tier-II (CBE) and the Tier-III (Descriptive) will be conducted from June 22 - 25, 2020. The exact date, venue and shift will be mentioned in the admit card. The application fee for SSC CGL is Rs. 100/-

SSC conducts CGL examination every year to recruit staff for the Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts in various Ministries/Departments/Organisations of the Government of India. Candidates can check SSC CGL notification on the official website of the commission - ssc.nic.in.

Important points to keep in mind before filling the application form :

  • The age limit of candidates willing to apply for SSC CGL is 18 - 30 years (Although, in some cases, the maximum age limit is 40-45 years. Refer to the official notification for that).

  • The minimum education qualification is graduation degree.

  • To successfully apply for the SSC CGL, candidates need to fill up the application form which includes uploading of education qualifications, scanned copy of latest passport size photograph and signature and finally the application fee.

  • The application fee can be filled online via debit/credit card/net banking and offline via e-challan.

SSC CGL exam is conducted in 4 tiers; Tier - I and II are Computer-Based Examination while the Tier - III is in Pen and Paper Mode. The last Tier - IV is the Computer Proficiency Test or the Skill Test. Candidates qualifying all these levels will have to go through the document verification before getting the post.
