SSC CGL 2025 first round of tentative allocation released after tier II exam

Staff Selection Commission combined graduate level examination result was released in December 2025. The Commission has now released the first round of tentative allocation.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notice regarding first round of tentative allocation (FRTA). This comes after the release of tier I results and tier II exams that were conducted on January 18 and 19, 2026. The official notice released on SSC's official website reads, "First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) has been done in accordance with the Notice dated 03.03.2026 on introduction of Sliding Mechanism for qualifying candidates."

Candidates have been shortlisted for the evaluation of Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section-IV (Data Entry Speed Test) for all posts based on their aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II of Paper-I in the Tier-II examination.
Candidates who failed to qualify in Section-I and Section-II have not been considered eligible for evaluation of Section-III. The cut-off marks and the list of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process can be checked here.

In line with Important Notices dated March 6 and March 12, 2026, the Commission has considered only those candidates for the next stage of the selection process who submitted their option-cum-preferences online and qualified in Section-I and Section-II for evaluation of Section-III and Section-IV.
Following the examination guidelines, candidates should qualify in Tier-II Paper-I, including Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section-IV (Data Entry Speed Test), to be eligible for the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA). Both Section-III and Section-IV are qualifying in nature.
SSC has notified that qualifying CPT is mandatory for inspector (examiner), inspector (preventive officer), inspector (central excise), assistant/assistant section officer (ASO) – ministry of external affairs (MEA), assistant section officer (ASO) – department of personnel & training (CSS), assistant section officer – armed forces headquarters (AFHQ), executive assistant, assistant – telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI).
