NEW DELHI : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date to submit post preferences for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam 2024 till February 10, 2025. Tier 2 candidates can exercise their options by visiting the official website, ssc.gov.in.

“The window for submission of Option-cum-Preference by the candidates of Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE), 2024 is extended and shall remain active till 10.02.2025 (11:59 PM). The candidates may exercise their Optioncum-Preferences, if required, before the closing date. The modality for submission of Optioncum-Preference shall remain the same as indicated in the Important Notice dated 04.02.2025 of Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2024,” the commission said in an official notification.
According to the SSC CHSL 2024 post preference sample form, candidates are required to indicate their options, in order of preference, separately for the posts. The preference codes for ministry, department, or offices for lower division clerk and junior secretariat assistant posts are given below.

For data entry operator and data entry operator grade ‘A’, the preference code and format will be as follows:
While filling the form, candidates will be required to required to submit a declaration undertaking the following:
- They won’t be able to change the order of preference submitted
- They hold the requisite documents in support of their claim and will produce the certificates as and when required. The post and department allocated to the candidates will be final and failure to produce the documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Any disagreement between the application form and option-cum-preference form will lead to the rejection of candidate.
