SSC increases SSC GD Constable 2018 vacancies by 3420; check fresh changes here

NEW DELHI, APRIL 10: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the SSC GD Constable 2018 vacancies on April 10, 2019 wherein 3420 new vacancies have been added. According to the revised list of GD Constable exam by the SSC officials, the total vacancies for the examination after revision comes to 58373 for both male and female categories. Whereas earlier, the total number of vacancies for the exam was 54953. This means that 3420 vacancies have been added to the earlier existing ones. SSC GD Constable 2018 – Overall revised vacancies

From the overall SSC GD Constable vacancy table above, it can be observed that the vacancy for only three posts, SSB, ITBP and AR have been revised while vacancies for the other remaining posts have not been changed. A comparative analysis of the revised and previous vacancies reflect that vacancies for SSB and AR have increased by 2410 and 1500 respectively. However, for ITBP, the vacancies have decreased by 490. This means that among all the revised vacancies, the maximum vacancies (2410) have been added in SSB.

SSC GD Constable 2018 – Vacancy revision for male candidates

As per the revised vacancy list released by SSC, the total vacancies for male candidates have increased by 2759, which is an increase of 5.83% in comparison to the previous vacancy. The vacancies have been increased for two posts only, SSB and AR, by 2410 and 765 respectively while the vacancy for ITBP post has decreased by 416. SSC GD Constable 2018 vacancy for all other post has remained unaltered. For male candidates, the Commission has added the most number of vacancies for SSB post.

SSC GD Constable 2018 – Vacancy revision for female candidates

For female candidates, the vacancies for the exam have increased by 661. Since the vacancies previously declared by SSC were 7646, the vacancies have increased by 8.64%. The vacancies for the post of AR have increased by 735 while vacancies for ITBP have decreased by 74. For all other posts, no changes in vacancies have been observed.          

The online test of SSC GD Constable 2018 was held from February 11 to March 11, 2019 across 125 exam cities. The Commission is expected to release SSC GD Constable answer key in April. The result for the computer based examination is scheduled to be declared on May 31. Staff Selection Commission conducts exam is held in three stages - Computer based test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical test. The exam is held to recruit candidates as Constable (General Duty) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Rifleman in Assam Rifles, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
