NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 23: Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer (SSC-JE) exam for 2018 Paper 1 has begun today. Paper 1 of SSC JE exam 2018 will be conducted from September 23 to 27, 2019. SSC is conducting the exam to fill in the post of “non-gazetted” posts in Junior Engineer, Group-D. There will be 2 papers in the SSC-JE exam 2018, Paper-1 will be computer-based while the Paper-2 will be descriptive type. The duration of the SSC JE exam 2018 will be of 2 hours and will carry 200 marks. SSC JE exam 2018 question paper will be based on topics from general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness and few questions from the engineering subject of the candidates. Negative marks of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Paper-1.
The ongoing exam of SSC JE is of 2018 JE recruitment as the exam was not held last year. Candidates will be able to download the answer key from the official website of SSC after the exam commences.
SSC in its official notification also stated that candidates can challenge the wrong questions by paying a charge of Rs. 100 per question. The objections should be raised by the candidates after the answer key is released and within a given time frame.
Important dates to note:
Results of SSC JE will be declared on November 2019
Paper-II admit card for candidates qualified in Paper-I will be issued in December 2019
SSC JE Paper-II will be conducted on December 29, 2019
SSC JE final results will be declared on February 2020
SSC JE exam 2018 is conducted to fill vacancies in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts disciplines.
