Students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology Shine at India Fashion Week

LONDON, NOVEMBER 22, 2018: At the glittering evening of India Fashion week 2018 in London, students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology bagged several prestigious awards, to mark excellence in the field of showcasing work of fashion & design on an international platform. As many as 38 specialised garments, created, designed and manufactured by Jediiians themselves were showcased at the fashion show.

Budding designers Chhaya Gandhi and Bani won the RC Dalal Memorial Award that is considered as one of the most prestigious awards at the India Fashion Week London under the banner National Asian Wedding Show.

“It is first a huge opportunity for our students to part of a prestigious international stage like India Fashion Week London and second winning laurels and awards for the work our students have done. We are proud of the winners and all the others who have put in the hardwork and proved their potential. This was a big platform and we aim to nurture our students and ready them for other such platforms where they can shine and stand out. We wish the best to our talented students and hope they will keep making us proud.” said Rupal Dalal, Executive Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology.

In what was the 12th year of the prestigious concept by the internationally renowned event production house The Platinum Group, Founder Manny Singh says: “It’s an incredible honour to announce “it’s a warp!” for the 4th time in a row. The National Asian Wedding Show was once again a resounding success which motivates us to go back to the drawing board and create a bigger and even grander 14th edition of Europe’s biggest wedding show. This was our second time at Olympia London, and we had a fantastic experience in putting together the best of Asian wedding fashion to the global audience in London.”

The second award category was the Young Talent Award, presented to two JD institute students Bijayendra Singh and Shourya Sarkar who realised their true potential by depicting their choicest collection at the gala event.
