TAPMI becomes India’s first B-School partner of US-based CMT Association for technical analysis
NEW DELHI, AUGUST 13: T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal, has signed an agreement with New York-based Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Association making it the country’s first business school partner of the global certification body for technical analysis.
The agreement will enable students enrolled under TAPMI’s PGDM (Core) Finance Domain and PGDM Banking and Financial Services Program, to be also part of the CMT Program and learn the intricacies of technical analysis.
The partnership aims at educating students in the principles of technical analysis to produce an employable workforce for the industry. “TAPMI is committed to creating industry-relevant graduates and this exciting Academic Partner Program partnership with the CMT Association is an important step in that direction,” Prof Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director, TAPMI, said.
Institutions under the Academic Partner Program of CMT Association demonstrate academic excellence in financial courses ranging from behavioural finance to portfolio management and other key aspects of technical analysis. Technical research analysts are experts who evaluate the statistics generated by market activity, such as past price and volume, to predict future patterns and are in high demand in the industry.
