TISS Hyderabad, Australia’s Macquarie University launch MA in Public Policy and International Relations

Graduates from any discipline can apply for dual degree programme till April 30.
NEW DELHI: Australia’s Macquarie University and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad launched a dual degree programme – MA in Public Policy and International Relations. Individuals with an undergraduate degree in any discipline can apply. The last date to submit applications is April 30, 2024.
The MA programme is a unique two-year programme that offers students the opportunity to earn two postgraduate degrees from two renowned institutions. The curriculum of the MA programme has been developed by experts from both TISS Hyderabad and Macquarie University, and provides a comprehensive understanding of policy frameworks, institutional dynamics, and international geopolitics.
As per the programme structure, students will study MA in Public Policy and Governance at TISS Hyderabad in the first year and Master of International Relations at Macquarie University, Sydney in the second year of the programme. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will receive dual MA degrees in Public Policy and International Relations.
Professor Chris Dixon, executive dean, Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University said, “We have embarked on a strategic path to empower Indian students with unmatched educational journeys in partnership with TISS Hyderabad. This new program will propel students to the forefront of Public Policy and International Relations, equipping them with the expertise and international perspective necessary to tackle global challenges.”

Professor Madhushree Sekher, dean, Office of International Relations at TISS, says "The programme will not only deepen Indo-Australian partnership, but also create a new architecture for public policy education connecting the local-national with regional and global."
