TISS releases dates for PAT, MAT and online personal interview; Check here

NEW DELHI: Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will conduct the online personal interview (OPI) from July 5 to July 17, which was earlier postponed due to Covid-19. The online detailed application filling (DAF) process will start on May 31 and end on July 4. TISS Programme Aptitude Test/ Management Aptitude Test (PAT/ MAT), which was earlier scheduled for May 8, will now be conducted on June 20.

Candidates can download the hall ticket for TISS PAT and TISS MAT exam from May 31 until the exam date. The TISS PAT and TISS MAT test centre change window will close on June 15.

As per the new notification, TISS will release the merit list for MA admission on July 26. Shortlisted candidates can attend the counselling session from July 28 to August 8 for document verification and payment of admission fee. The institute will announce the first waiting list on August 10. For the candidates shortlisted in the waiting list, the institute will conduct the counselling session from August 12 to August 20.

All the selected candidates can complete admission formalities from July 26 to August 28. The classes will commence for the new academic session 2020-21 on August 30. The institute has also informed that the fresh dates announced in the current notification may be changed if the Government of India issues any new Covid-19 guidelines in the coming days.

The admission policy of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences outlines, selection of junior students for different MA programmes is done through three levels of screening. Candidates who had cleared the TISS NET result need to appear for either TISS Programme Aptitude Test (PAT) and Management Aptitude Test (MAT) and attend the online personal interview (OPI) to get shortlisted to the merit list. The assessment marking component of TISS PAT is 50 marks and that of OPI is 100 marks.
