TISSNET 2019 result announced on February 12, Check how to download scorecard

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 12: Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai, has announced the result of TISSNET 2019 exam on February 12 early hours. The result was scheduled to be released on February 11 at 8 PM, but due to technical and server errors, the result was postponed. The TISSNET 2019 candidates can check their result in the form of scorecard. Earlier, the release date of TISSNET result was announced as February 4 but later got postponed due to unknown reasons. Candidates who appeared for the online TISSNET exam on January 13, can check the result on the official website of the institute.

The exam was conducted in online mode at more than 100 test centres across 39 cities. Candidates applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation can apply until February 8, 2019.

How to check TISSNET Result?

· Visit the official website of the Institute and click on the 'Scorecard' tab

· Login with the Email ID and the Password provided during the TISSNET registration

· Enter the Captcha code on the screen and click on 'Login'.

· The result will be displayed on the screen

· View, Print or Download the TISSNET result cum sccorecard

The result of TISSNET will display the following details-

· Name of the candidate

· Roll number of Candidate

· Registration number of Candidate

· Score/ Marks obtained

· Status – Qualified/Not Qualified.

How is TISSNET Score calculated?

The exam comprises a total of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections - General Knowledge, English Proficiency, Maths & Logical Reasoning. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking.

What after TISSNET result announcement?

Post the announcement of the result, the institute will begin with the three-stage selection process for its MA programme. Firstly, the test takers will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the entrance exam. General/OBC category candidates need to score minimum 45 percent marks in order to qualify the test while SC/ST students need to score 35 percent marks.

Finally, the shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for Pre Interview Test (PIT) / Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidates’ performance in all the selection rounds including the entrance test. The following parameters will be considered to prepare the final merit list -

The selected candidates will have to send the scanned copy of their documents to the institute by April 22, 2019. The list of documents includes Transaction Confirmation / Receipt of online payment of fees, Acceptance letter, and Final Score Card. These documents must be sent to verification@tiss.edu for confirming the provisional admission.

TISSNET is conducted every year to select the candidates for the School of Management and Labour Studies of TISS. The institute offers 53 Masters in Social Science programmes across its four campuses - Mumbai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Tuljapur.
