TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam 2018 Begins; Check Details Here

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 23 : Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is conducting TNPSC Group 2 mains examination in a single session on February 23, 2019. The test is being held in the offline mode.
The mains exam comprises one paper on General Studies. The test is being conducted for total 300 marks and candidates have been allotted 3 hours to complete the exam stage. The question paper has been set in two languages – Tamil and English.
The Commission will not publish the answer key for the mains exam as questions asked in the test are descriptive in nature.
TNPSC had issued the admit card for mains on February 18, 2019. The admit card had been released for candidates who had qualified the prelims test. The hall ticket comprised details relating to the exam including name of candidate, roll number, date of birth, date, time and venue of exam, etc.
As per marks secured in mains exam, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for interview. On the basis of candidates’ performance in mains and interview, they will be called for counselling. During counselling, candidates will be recruited for different posts/departments as per their merit position.
TNPSC Group 2 examination is being conducted to recruit candidates to various posts like Industrial Co-operative Officer, Probation Officer, Assistant Inspector of Labour, Sub Registrar, Grade-II, Assistant Section Officer, Audit Inspector, Revenue Assistant in various departments of Tamil Nadu including Industries Subordinate Service, Social Defence Subordinate Service, Ministerial Service, Secretariat Service, etc. Based on aggregate marks obtained in mains and interview, 1199 candidates will be recruited for the posts available under Tamil Nadu PSC Group 2 recruitment examination.
