TS EAMCET Result- 75.29% qualified 

This year, in 2020, the passing percentage is 75.29%. The result is announced in the press conference. Candidates will soon be able to access the result link.

TS EAMCET 2020- 83.19 % Candidates Appeared

This year, the total attendance recorded was 83.19% which is less than last year due to COVID19. A total of 119183 attended the exam out of which the total number of qualified candidates is 89739.

TS EAMCET Results - Is Rank Card important?

Candidates who will be declared qualified in TS EAMCET 2020 result shall be required to participate in counselling. During the TS EAMCET counselling process, candidates will have to go for document verification in order to ensure their eligibility. At that time, TS EAMCET rank card will be one of the most important documents which the authorities will ask for in order to prove candidate's eligibility to apply for admission. As the TS EAMCET results will be declared today by the concerned authorities, it shall be followed by conduct of counselling. Students are usually eager to know their probable TS EAMCET ranks based on the score calculated with the help of answer key. It has to be noted that there is no fixed number of marks for which a certain rank is granted to candidates. The authorities normalize the score obtained by candidates using a specific formula called TS EAMCET normalization. As per reports, higher educational institutes including engineering colleges in Telangana state shall open in the first week of November, probably from November 2 onwards. Thus, the TS EAMCET counselling process is expected to be wrapped by then and classes may commence accordingly. Candidates will be intimated regarding the schedule for TS EAMCET 2020 counselling and commencement of academic session.

As the TS EAMCET 2020 exam was conducted in multiple sessions, the question paper was also different for each session. Thus, in order to bring equivalence in the difficulty level and marking for preparing the TS EAMCET results, the authorities follow the normalization process for calculating the scores which has been depicted below.

TS EAMCET Normalization Process

The rank obtained in TS EAMCET 2020 shall be valid for admission in the participating institutes for 2020-21 session only. The TSCHE authorities have specified that the TS EAMCET rank 2020 shall be valid for admission into courses mentioned in the application form in the current academic session only.

Candidates who are applying for admission in engineering institutes through TS EAMCET shall need the following documents:

• (Physically Handicapped) PH-certificate issued by District Medical Board. Candidates with 40% and above disability are considered eligible

• (Children of Armed Personnel) CAP-certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer - Identity card and Discharge book (in case of Ex-Servicemen) and Service Certificate (in case of in service men) issued by the Competent Authority for verification.

• NCC & Sports - Original Certificates issued by competent authorities

• Minorities - SSC TC containing Minority Status or Certificate from the headmaster

• Anglo-Indian - Certificate issued by Tahsildar of their place of residence

Candidates who are going to participate in the TS EAMCET counselling process will have to produce the following documents: 

• TS EAMCET Rank Card

• TS EAMCET 2020 Hall Ticket

• Candidate's Aadhaar Card

• Mark Sheets of all classes (from class 6 to qualifying exam)

• Transfer Certificate (T.C) issued from the school last attended

• Intermediate or equivalent Pass Certificate

• Residence certificate of either of parents in Telangana (for a period of last 10 years in case of non-local candidates)

Candidates who qualify the TS EAMCET exam 2020 will have to participate in the counselling process conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The TS EAMCET counselling is conducted in various steps as depicted below:

The preparation of merit list on the basis of TS EAMCET results 2020 will be done on the basis of a tie-breaking rule. In case of more than one student securing the same combined score, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following

The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS EAMCET 2020 is 25% of the maximum marks for consideration for ranking. It means candidates will have to secure 40 marks out of 160 to qualify the exam. However, for candidates belonging to SC / ST, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories.
