UGC NET, JEE Main and other NTA exams application window now open for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh candidates
New Delhi, November 4: National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the application window of UGC NET, JEE Main, Joint CSIR-UGC NET and IIFT for the candidates of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The application portal for the given exams is open now through the respective websites. All the candidates who wish to appear for any of these four examinations in the cities of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh will be able to submit their application till November 8. The application forms of the respective exams will be available through the official websites of the exam conducting bodies. It should be noted that complete application along with fee payment has to be submitted within the specified dates of November 4 to November 8, 2019.
This decision of reopening the application window of these four major exams for J&K candidates was taken after an order from Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Srinagar & Jammu regarding the extension of last date of application for the major exams for the students in the state. The authority has released the order showing concern to all those applicants who were unable to fill these application forms before the last date due to political conditions in the state.

UGC NET, JEE Main, Joint CSIR-UGC NET and IIFT are the major exams to be conducted by NTA in the upcoming months of DEcember 2019 & January 2020. NTA will be conducting UGC-NET December 2019 on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to find suitable candidates for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship in Indian Universities and Colleges. CSIR UGC-NET will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor. JEE Main will be conducted for admission to engineering courses in IITs, NIITs, CFTIs and other institutes while IIFT will be conducted for admission to MBA course.
