• The NTA  calculates the number of candidates to be declared successful for a given subject by category. 

• Eligible candidates who selected the “Eligibility for JRF & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both” will form the consideration zone for JRF.

• The total number of slots for JRF is allocated among different categories.

According to an official notice posted by the National Testing Agency, 9,45,918 candidates appeared for the December session of the UGC NET exam.
