NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board (UPMSP) has started the UP Board Class 10, 12 exam paper evaluation today. 1,47,097 examiners have been appointed for the evaluation of a total of 3.01 crore answer sheets.
The UPMSP Class 10, 12 board exam evaluation will be carried out for a period of 13 working days from March 16 to 31. In view of the Holi festival, the evaluation work will not be held from March 24 to 26.

This year, a total of 55,25,308 candidates registered for the UP board exam 2024. Out of which, 29,47,311 applied for UP Board Madhyamik exams and 25,77,997 registered for UP Inter board exam 2024.
The board has appointed 94,802 examiners for the evaluation of 1.76 crore answer sheets of the UP Class 10th annual examination and 52,295 examiners for the evaluation of 1.25 crore answer sheets of the intermediate examination. A total of 131 evaluation centers have been set up for Class 10 board exam evaluation and 116 evaluation centers for checking inter answer sheets, Dibyakant Shukla, secretary of UP Board said.
The board conducted UPMSP Class 12 practical exams on March 13 and 14 for those who missed the re-exam in February.
The security arrangements were tightened to prevent use of unfair means in the exam. The board informed that 24×7 online continuous monitoring of examination centers and strong rooms, and more than 2.90 lakh CCTV cameras with voice recorders were installed in 1.35 lakh examination rooms and premises of all 8,265 examination centres.

The board informed that the number of cheating and use of unfair means in board exams have reduced significantly compared to previous years.
