UP board exam 2024 concludes; cheating cases dropped significantly this year

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has successfully concluded the UP Board Class 10, 12 exams 2024 today, March 9. As per the press note, shared by board secretary Dibyakant Shukla, 48 students caught cheating this year as compared to 127 last year.
Pseudo candidates caught taking exam in place of someone else also reduced to 37 from 133 last year. For online continuous monitoring of examination centers, over 2.90 lakh CCTV cameras with voice recorders were installed in 1.35 lakh examination rooms and premises of all 8,265 examination centres.
"24x7 online monitoring of all the examination centers and their strong rooms was done through 180 employees appointed in three shifts on 60 computers in the Command and Control Center of the Council Headquarters", the press note read.

Actions against unfair practices during exams
When a student from Maa Chandrawali Ramjilal Inter College, Nagla Bahrawati, Agra ran away with the answer sheet, the concerned school was debarred (blacklisted) due to the carelessness of the school.
Another school in Agra district, Shri Atar Singh Inter College, Rojauli, where the question paper was shared on a WhatsApp group 1 hour and 11 minutes after the commencement of the examination, all the accused including the main accused Vinay Chaudhary were given 24 years imprisonment. Within an hour he was arrested and sent to jail and the board also took the decision to cancel the recognition of that school.
