NEW DELHI: A total of 28,513 students were absent in UP Board Class 10, 12 exams 2024 held today, as per the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board (UPMSP). UP board conducted Class 10 Pali, Arabic and Class 12 civics papers in the first shift. While, papers of Class 10 music and Class 12 agronomy papers were conducted in the second shift.

4,47,496 students had registered for UP board exams 2024 including 3,72,936 in the first shift and 74,560 in the second. Of the total registered, 25,916 were absent in the first shift while 2,597 missed the second shift exams.

The board said that one student of Class 12 was caught using unfair means in the exam. However, no First Information Report (FIR) was filed against any person in the first and second shifts of the state board exam.

UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2024 were held today at 7,376 examination centres in the first shift and at 2,238 exam centres in the second shift.

“As per the information received from the divisions/districts via telephone/email, no untoward situation arose in any district during the examination and the examination was conducted in a fair, cheating-free and peaceful manner,” UPMSP stated.

On the first day of the board exams 2024, five students were caught cheating while an FIR was lodged against seven proxy candidates.

In a first, command and control rooms have been set up in the regional offices and headquarters of UPMSP for the security of question papers and online monitoring of examination centers. Moreover, the board has introduced identity cards with QR codes for the invigilators. The ID cards will mention the teacher’s graduation subject and the subject being taught by them.
