The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) has once again postponed the written exam for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). As per the official notice, the exam, which was scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2025, has been deferred due to unavoidable reasons. The commission has said the test is now proposed to be held in the last week of August.
“This is to inform all concerned that the written examination scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2025, under Advertisement No. 02/2022 for the post of lecturer (PGT), has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons, as per the decision of the Commission. The exam is now proposed to be held in the last week of August,” the official notice said.
The notice further states that the new exam dates for the UP PGT 2025 exam will be announced soon through newspapers and the official website upessc.up.gov.in. This is the third time the UP PGT exam has been rescheduled.
Reacting to the commission's latest move, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav took to social media and criticised the repeated postponements. “The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has published a notification today regarding the postponement of the PGT examination for the third time,” Yadav posted on X.
“The government, which keeps changing names, should rename the ‘Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission’ to ‘Uttar Pradesh Education Service Postponement Commission’. The anger among the candidates is justified. We will repeat a hundred and one times that ‘jobs are simply not on the BJP’s agenda’. When the BJP goes, then jobs will come!” he further said.
