UPPRPB makes OTR mandatory for all future UP Police recruitments; 2.5 lakh already registered

UP Police Recruitment 2025: Candidates can complete the free one-time registration through the official portal at uppbpb.gov.in.
Over 2.5 lakh candidates have completed the One Time Registration (OTR) process for direct recruitment to 4,543 posts of Sub-Inspector (SI) and equivalent positions in the Uttar Pradesh Police. As per the official notice, the advertisement inviting online applications for UP Police SI and other vacancies will be issued this week.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) made OTR mandatory for all future online applications. Once registered, applicants will not be required to re-enter their details, such as name, father’s name, and date of birth, for each recruitment.
“The process of OTR for direct recruitment to 4,543 posts of Sub-Inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police and equivalent positions in 2025 is currently underway. Over two and a half lakh potential candidates have already completed their registration,” the official notice said.
Eligible candidates who want to appear for the UP Police SI and other recruitment exam conducted by UPPRPB can complete the UP Police OTR process through the official website — uppbpb.gov.in — via the link apply.upprpb.in. The board has stated that this facility is completely free of cost.

How to complete the OTR process?
Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the OTR process.
- Visit the official website at uppbpb.gov.in.
- On the homepage, look for the OTR registration link and click on it.
- Now, fill in the required personal details, including name, father’s name, date of birth.
- Upload the necessary documents as per the instructions on the portal.
- Verify the entered details and submit the registration form.
- Save or print the confirmation page for future reference.
The board has also provided FAQs and video guides on the OTR registration page to assist candidates. For technical or procedural queries, applicants can contact the helpline at 1800 9110005 between 10 am and 7 pm on working days.
