UPSC 2020 ESE And Geologist Mains Exam Postponed Due to COVID 19
NEW DELHI - UPSC has mentioned on the official website regarding postponement of UPSC ESE and Geologist Mains exam. According to the website www.upsc.gov.in the exams are postponed due to present COVID 19 pandemic in the country. Authorities have also not provided any new dates of both these exams hence it will be notified in due course of time. Prior to this the commission had released the revised calendar of UPSC on June 5. According to that calendar, UPSC Geologist & Geo -Scientist exam was slated to be held on August 8 and 9 while UPSC ESE exam was likely to be conducted on August 9, 2020 in offline mode.
UPSC ESE 2020 Mains Exam
Mode of exam is offline
The exam will be descriptive in nature.
The exam will be conducted in 6 hours
There will be a total of 16 questions
The Engineering Services exam will be conducted for 600 marks.
There will be no negative marking
UPSC Geologist Mains Exam
The exam will be in pen and paper mode
There will be three papers for each subject - Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Jr. Hydrogeologist
The duration of exam will be 9 hours total
Total marks will be 600
