NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 20: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the mains exam of Civil Services 2019 from today. The exam will also be conducted on September 21, 22, 28 and 29. UPSC Civil Services exam is being conducted in 24 cities in 23 states across the country. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the result of UPSC Civil Services 2019 prelims exam will be appearing for the mains exam. Candidates are being given 3 hours to attempt each paper. Only English and Indian Language papers will be conducted for 300 marks and all the other papers will be conducted for 250 marks.

Only those candidates have been allowed to appear for the exam who carried their UPSC Civil Services admit card along with a photo id proof like Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, or Voter Card.

Qualifying candidates of UPSC Civil Services 2019 mains exam will be called for interview or personality test. The result of Civil Services mains exam is likely to be declared in the month of January while personal interview is expected to be conducted in February 2020.
