NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 3: Union Public Service Commision (UPSC) has conducted the written exam of CDS 1 2019 on February 3. The exam was held at various centres in 41 different cities across the country. CDS 2019 was conducted for filling about 417 vacancies at different Indian Defence Academies and Officers Training Academy. Only those candidates were allowed to take the test who had brought their admit card along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Passport.
CDS 1 exam was conducted from 9 am to 5 pm for three subjects - English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. Each of the subjects were conducted for 2 hours carrying questions for a total of 100 marks. There was a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer given by the candidates.
Candidate who appeared for the exam can check CDS answer key 2019 which has been released by coaching institute - NeoStencil and Baalnoi. Candidates can calculate their expected scores and predict the chances to qualify the exam. However, the official answer key will be released by the examination authority after the declaration of the result.
All those candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for a SSB interview. The interview process will be conducted for 5 days comprising two selection stages. In the first stage of SSB Interview, Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test will be conducted where candidates picture perception and description (PP & DT) ability will be tested. All those who qualify in the OIR test will have to appear for the stage II of SSB Interview after which the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to take admission to Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers Training Academy and Naval Academy on the basis of final merit list released by UPSC.
