Subscribe NowNEW DELHI : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will begin the or personality tests for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 from tomorrow, January 7. Candidates who cleared the UPSC CSE Mains exam 2024 are eligible to appear in the interview round.
Candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE Mains 2024 can check the interview schedule on the official website, upsc.gov.in. As per the schedule, the UPSC CSE 2024 personality tests will end on April 17, 2025.
“On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 declared by the Union Public Service Commission on 09th Dec, 2024, the Commission has decided to commence the Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 w.e.f. Tuesday, 07.01.2025,” the UPSC notification read.
The commission will conduct interviews for 2,845 candidates from January 7 to April 17, 2025. The UPSC CSE interview round will be conducted in 2 sessions. The reporting time for the forenoon session is 9 am while that for the afternoon session is 1 pm.
UPSC CSE Mains 2024 result
The commission declared the UPSC CSE mains 2024 result on December 9. Candidates can download their UPSC CSE mains 2024 results through the official website, upsc.gov.in.
According to the latest UPSC notice, candidates who have qualified for the CSE exam will be called in for interview and personality test round in January 2025.
"Interviews of these candidates will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi, 110069," the official UPSC notice reads.
The UPSC conducted the CS mains exam on September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29, 2024 to fill over 1000 vacancies available. Candidates were given three hours to complete the exam. The exam was held in two shifts first from 9 am to 12 pm and second shift from 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm.
Reimbursement for travelling expenses
The candidates appearing for Interview will be granted reimbursement towards travelling expenses for appearing in the UPSC CSE 2024 interview. The travel reimbursement will only be provided for the second or sleeper class train fare (mail express).
“No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test (Interview) intimated to the candidates will ordinarily be entertained,” the official notification read.
The UPSC CSE recruitment drive is being held to fill 1056 posts. The registration process started on February 14 and ended on March 5, 2024. The prelims examination was held on June 16, 2024, and the result was announced on July 1, 2024.
