UPSC ESE 2021: Prelims exam to begin soon; Check important ESE details

Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct the UPSC ESE 2021 prelims exam today, in 42 cities across the country.

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is scheduled to conduct the UPSC IES 2021 prelims exam today, July 18 in offline mode. The Indian Engineering Services (IES) prelims exam 2021 will be conducted in two parts - morning and afternoon. Candidates who have been issued the UPSC ESE admit card 2021 are eligible to appear for the IES exam.

Candidates going to give the UPSC IES prelims exam must carry the ESE admit card 2021 along with one original valid photo identity card to the examination venue. As the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2021 exam is going to start soon, candidates must stay calm, hydrated, focused and determined to qualify the UPSC ESE 2021 exam.

UPSC IES 2021: Important points to remember

  • Aspirants need to read all the Indian Engineering Services 2021 exam day guidelines, to avoid any last minute delays.

  • Candidates need to wear a face mask for the full duration of the UPSC ESE exam.

  • Eligible applicants must carry the IES admit card along with an original photo ID card to the UPSC ESE exam centres.

  • All the Coronavirus protocols and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to by candidates and the examination authorities.

  • No electronic devices or gadgets are allowed in the examination hall like mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth, etc.

  • Candidates are to bring their own stationary as it won't be provided by the UPSC.

UPSC ESE 2021

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the UPSC IES exam every year. The ESE exam is held to hire eligible candidates for engineering positions in government departments such as the public works department, power and telecommunications, railways, highways, etc. The IES selection process has 3 stages - prelims, mains and interview. The ESE 2021 mains exam is scheduled to begin from November 21, 2021.
