UPSC ESE Result 2019 for Preliminary Exam Announced; Know Details Here

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 28 : Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the preliminary exam result of Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2019 on February 28, 2019. As many as 4,075 candidates have qualified for mains exam out of which 1825 candidates have been shortlisted for Civil Engineering, 801 for Mechanical Engineering, 684 for Electrical Engineering and 765 for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates who appeared for the preliminary exam on January 6 can check their result at UPSC website - http://www.upsc.gov.in/.
UPSC ESE result 2019 is available in pdf format with the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The preliminary exam of UPSC ESE was held at 42 exam cities across the country. There were two papers - Paper I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) and Paper II (Engineering Aptitude as per specific stream).
Shortlisted candidates in the preliminary exam are eligibile to appear for the mains exam. The mains exam of UPSC ESE comprises of two conventional type papers in Engineering Discipline-specific papers which will be held on June 30, 2019. Each paper will be held for 3 hours carrying 300 marks. Candidates who will qualify the mains exam will be selected to appear for personality test which is the final stage of UPSC ESE selection process.
Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is conducted for the recruitment to the Group A/B services in Indian Railway, Indian Ordnance Factories, Central Water Engineering Service, Indian Skill Development Service etc. Recruitment is made to the services/posts under Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering categories. For the year 2019, as many as 581 vacancies have been released for 2019 recruitment.
