UPSC rejects combined geo-scientist 2024 applications of 2 candidates over non-payment of exam fee

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission has rejected the applications of two candidates for the combined geo-scientist exam 2024 due to non-payment of fee. The commission has asked the candidates to send an appeal against the rejection by November 25.

“Confirmation has not been received from the Bank Authorities regarding receipt of Fee of Rs. 200/- in respect of following listed applicants for Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2024,” said UPSC in an official notice.

The rejected candidates are as follows:

The commission said that the application has been rejected as per the provisions and an email will be sent to each candidate. “Appeal against the rejection, if any, may be made within 10 (Ten) days by providing the following documentary evidence through speed post OR by hand to Shri Pradeep Toppo, Under Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, 4th floor, Hall No.1, Examination Hall Building, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069,” UPSC added.

The commission gave the following options to the candidates:

  • If you have paid or deposited the fee through cash mode in the State Bank of India or designated banks, please submit the bank pay slip ( in original)
  • If you have paid the fee through debit or credit card or internet banking of authorised banks, please submit a copy of your debit or credit card statement or bank account statement as the case may be.

“Appeal against such rejection should be received in the Commission’s office latest by 25/11/2023. Applications will be revived, if otherwise eligible, on receipt of documentary proof of genuine fee payment,” UPSC further said.
