UPTET 2019-20 Result Declared; 23.41 Per Cent Candidates Qualify

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 7: Uttar Pradesh Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari has announced the result of UPTET 2019 on the official website - updeled.gov.in. In order to check the result, candidates must enter their roll number/ registration number and password in the UPTET result login window. Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Secretary, Examination Controller, has informed that 29.74% of candidates have qualified the exam for the primary level while for the upper primary level, 11.46% of candidates have cleared the exam. The total pass percentage of this cycle of the exam is 23.41%. About 1.63 million candidates had registered for UPTET 2019. A total of 10,68,912 candidates had registered to appear in the exam at the primary level while 5,65,337 registered for the upper-primary level. The candidates can expect to receive their certificates before March 07, 2020.

The scorecard of UPTET result 2019 will contain the candidate’s name, registration/roll number, total marks obtained in each subject, overall marks, qualifying status of the candidates and UPTET rank. The candidates must secure marks equal to or more than 60% (55% for reserved category) to be considered UPTET-qualified. Check the steps to check the result below.

How to check the UPTET 2019 result?

The candidates should follow the steps provided below to check UPTET result:

  • Visit the official website - updeled.gov.in

  • Scroll down and click on the 'UPTET Result' link.

  • Log in by entering the roll/registration number and password

  • Click on the ‘Proceed’ button.

  • The result will appear on the screen.

  • Download the file.

  • The candidate may save the file or take a printout of the same for future reference.

The UPTET 2019 exam was conducted on January 8, 2020, in OMR-based format. The exam was earlier scheduled on December 22, 2019, but due to internet lock-down in the state because of protests in several areas against the Citizenship (Amendment Act), 2019, many candidates were not able to download their exam admit cards. The preliminary answer key for the UPTET 2019 exam was released on January 14. The final answer key for the UPTET 2019 exam was released on the official website on January 31, 2020.

UPTET is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates as teachers for primary and upper primary classes in schools of Uttar Pradesh. UPTET certificates are valid for 5 years. Candidates who qualify in the UPTET exam can apply as teachers of the aforementioned class groups in Uttar Pradesh.
