UPUMS registration ends today for 535 posts; eligibility criteria, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS) will close the online application process for recruitment to the nursing officer posts today, March 14. Eligible candidates can fill out the UPUMS application form by visiting the official website upums.ac.in.

The UPUMS recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 535 nursing officer posts. To fill out the UPUMS application form, candidates from the unreserved (UR), other backward class (OBC), and economically weaker class (EWS) categories will have to pay Rs 2,360. Candidates from scheduled casts (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) categories are required to Rs 1,416.

UPUMS Nursing Officer Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for the UPUMS nursing officer recruitment exam 2024 given below.

Age limit: The candidate’s age should be between 18 years old and 40 years old as of January 1, 2024. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.

Educational qualification

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in nursing from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.

  • Candidates should have a diploma in general nursing midwifery from an Indian nursing council-recognized institute.

  • candidates should be registered as nurses and midwives in the Indian Nursing Council to qualify for the posts.

UPUMS Nursing Officer Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern

UPUMS nursing officer exam will be held in two stages including written exam and document verification. The UPUMS exam will have 200 questions, each carrying 3 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Out of 200 questions, 170 questions will be asked from nursing subjects and the remaining 30 questions will be related to general English, general knowledge and current affairs, reasoning and mathematics.

The candidate will get three hours to complete the exam. To qualify the exam, candidates will have to score a minimum of 40% marks. SC, ST categories candidates are required to score a minimum of 35% marks.
