NEW DELHI: The Uttarakhand Government has decided to allow new sessions to begin for Classes 6 to 9 from April 15, according to reports.

The government had allowed schools to reopen for Classes 6 to 12 from February 8 in a blended mode and ordered exams to be finished by April 14, reports said. Earlier in the week, the government had asked schools to only charge tuition for students still undergoing online classes.

Other states such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh had ordered educational institutions to be shut amid rising COVID-19 cases. The Karnataka Government, however, had allowed offline classes to continue.
